Fake Perfume Terminology

These are commonly used words or phrases used when people are selling fake perfumes. Pay attention carefully. Please understand that these perfumes are fake and not made by the original manufacturers. Fake perfume vendors use these terms and phrases to trick you or make you feel comfortable into buying their fake garbage.


Common words used for fake perfumes:

• Grade AAA
• Gred AAA
• Grade AA
• Gred AA
• Replica
• Sephora Dubai
• Grade Branded

This info was found on a counterfeit perfume seller's website:

"1. What is Grade AAA? How is it different from the original perfumes? 

ORIGINAL - usually ranges from RM150 - RM300 for 100ml 

ORIGINAL REJECTED - only slightly cheaper than original ones due to some defects in the packaging etc 

GRADE AAA - 90% similar to original in terms of ingredients and packaging, usually indistinguishable from the original, price ranging from RM65-100 for 100ml 

GRADE AA - 70% similar to original, no hologram logo on the bottles and boxes 

GRADE A - 50% similar to original, short-lasting, low quality and highly impure, usually the really cheap but unlabeled perfumes fall under this category, so please beware when purchasing. "

Here is more lies and garbage talk from the same vendor:

" 4. Why are some Grade AAA perfumes out there so much cheaper than the price that I am offering? 

Although it is not always true, most Grade AAA perfumes that are unbelievably cheap are not Sephora perfumes. Sephora perfumes are packaged in Dubai, using 90% of the original ingredients and 10% of other ingredients. Sephora perfumes are among the best quality for Grade AAA perfumes. For example, Sephora EDT can last for 8-24 hours depending on surrounding condition and body temperature."

Here is info from another seller of fake perfumes:

" We sell graded perfume, specifically, AAA perfume. Yes, it is imitation, but just read the details below.  

There are a lot of difference between my perfume and those in night market. Those are also imitation perfume, but it is the lowest grade of grade D. Other sold are also grade AA and A.  

Perfume from Dubai (Gred AAA) :

1) The box, bottle and packaging are 100% like the original perfume, but maybe with different material. But not many people can detect the differences.

3) 80% original. 20% other liquid. This is the standard mixture of AAA perfume.

4) Not long lasting as original. It is around 4 hours in room temperature. But as the price is this low, you can afford spraying it more frequent.

5)Actually it depends on the wearer himself on the matter of the lasting of the smell.

6) Watch out for any seller who claims their perfume is rejected or original perfume. Some times it is just a graded perfume, but they put it on higher price.

7) The quality of AAA grade perfume is different than those in black market (rm10-rm20)"
